International Women's Day

To celebrate this year's International Women's Day, we are shining a spotlight on inspiring members of our London team. With women making up 80% of the Ettinger team across both our London office and factory, we're proud to celebrate the talent, creativity and dedication that shape everything we do. This day felt like the perfect opportunity to highlight just a few of the remarkable women behind our brand.

Discover the stories of the people who bring Ettinger to life.

In one sentence, how would you describe your role at the company?

Cassi, Marketing Manager: "I manage Ettinger's website and marketing activity."

Emma, Head of Creative: "As Head of Creative, I lead the brand’s creative vision in storytelling, photography and design."

Claire, Marketing Executive: "My role is very varied across different areas of marketing, but my main focus is email marketing and social media."

Sales Support Manager: "Managing and supporting our wholesale customers and managing our Japanese distributor account."

Executive Assistant: "My role is very diverse, depending on business needs, but I primarily oversee web orders, support our CEO Robert Ettinger and manage corporate gifting orders."

What inspired you to pursue your career path?

Cassi, Marketing Manager"I did an internship when I was 14, working in a marketing department for a month and enjoyed the variety and creativity that the role brought. I decided that this was the area I would like to pursue but did a variety of further internships through university to discover which area of marketing I was most passionate about. I immediately knew that I preferred working in-house rather than for an agency, and preferred founder-led and family-run companies."

Emma, Head of Creative"I’ve always been inspired by photography, art and design, and I have always enjoyed expressing my ideas through creativity. Seeing those ideas come to life - in either an image or something physical - is ultimately what inspired me to pursue this path."

Claire, Marketing Executive"I have always been passionate about fashion and luxury, and I knew early on that I wanted to work in this industry. I’ve always been fascinated by craftsmanship and the process behind creating luxury pieces. After realising that a creative career wasn’t for me, I discovered marketing and communications, which felt like the perfect fit."

Executive Assistant: "I was inspired to pursue this career because I enjoy roles that involve organisation, building relationships and supporting others, allowing me to make a meaningful impact every day."

What are three highlights from your time at the company so far?

Cassi, Marketing Manager"Celebrating 90 years of Ettinger, launching our games collection and working on the collaboration between Ettinger and Netflix for the Gentlemen series."

Emma, Head of Creative"Some of the highlights from my time at the company so far include collaborating with Netflix on The Gentlemen collection and being invited to the show’s premiere, travelling to Scotland for our collaboration with Campbells of Beauly and working closely with Silent Pool Gin to create a beautifully bespoke, designed gin bag."

Claire, Marketing Executive"The first is our trip to Scotland in October 2025 to shoot the Campbell’s of Beauly x Ettinger collaboration. The second is the launch of our extended pet collection in autumn 2025, which we celebrated with a wonderful event at the Peninsula Café. Finally, I’d say our first large-scale influencer campaign in winter 2025, where we collaborated with incredible creators and achieved great results."

Sales Support Manager: "Visiting our factory in Walsall and learning about the manufacturing process. Participating in the creative discussions around new product development. Working with a wide reaching, loyal global customer base from the US to Australia.

Which women, inside or outside the company, inspire you the most in your career?

Cassi, Marketing Manager"I have been lucky enough to work with several inspiring women in my career. Both my previous managers challenged and inspired me to think bigger and consider all aspects of a business when planning campaigns or working on strategy."

Emma, Head of Creative"I’m most inspired by the women directly around me - particularly my friends - and seeing how successful and happy they are in their careers motivates me to continually push myself in my own too."

Claire, Marketing Executive"Cassi, my current manager, is my biggest inspiration. She has trusted me, supported my growth, and been an incredibly kind and patient mentor."

What do you think is the key to creating a workplace where women can thrive?

Cassi, Marketing Manager"I think fostering a culture that minimises rigid hierarchy. When ideas are valued over titles, it encourages creativity, builds confidence, and empowers women to contribute openly and lead authentically. This is something that is definitely part of Ettinger's work culture."

Emma, Head of Creative"Creating a workplace where women can thrive starts with genuinely engaging with those around you, listening to their ideas and empowering each other to take up space. When everyone feels supported and encouraged, I think it creates a more positive environment for everyone."

Claire, Marketing Executive: "Making sure women are truly heard, trusted, and treated as equals is a vital starting point."

Sales Support Manager"Communication, collaboration and mentorship."

Sales Support Administrator: "I think that the workplace environment often has the biggest impact on how motivated you are at work. Women can thrive in an environment where they are fully supported to grow, lead and advance, and a supportive environment enhance overall organisational performance.

Executive Assistant: "A workplace that encourages open dialogue, embraces diverse perspectives and addresses stereotypes and discriminatory behaviour."

If you could invite three women (past or present) to dinner, who would they be?

Emma, Head of Creative"Frida Kahlo, Olivia Dean & Cindy Sherman."

Claire, Marketing Executive"Jessie Diggins, Ilona Maher & Miley Cyrus."

Sales Support Manager: "Coco Chanel, Kate Bush & Hilary Mantel."

Sales Support Administrator: "I'd love to have dinner with Michelle Obama & Oprah Winfrey. In my opinion these two women are recognised for their powerful, positive impact, leadership and advocacy on a global scale on the 21st century. I think every woman would learn so much from them. Both leaders share their personal struggles and failures, proving that 'setbacks are not final, but opportunities for growth'. I think they are overall an inspiration to us all, advocating for self-worth, authenticity and resilience."

Executive Assistant"Harriet Tubman, Jacinda Arden & Boudica."
